Horizontes imaginários is based on the desire to make large-format photographs feasible on an unconventional medium and is in line with my work as a painter and engraver, in which I address the relationship between other expressive media and photography. In my career as an artist, I have been developing a work based on this intermingling between visual languages whose limits are open questions.
From a look at the Santos port area, Horizontes Imaginários proposes a reflection on the transformation suffered by the original landscape of a territory that was impacted by human presence and intervention. This is proposed through a game of inversions of images captured in the hulls of ships that, paradoxically, refer to the original landscape, more specifically, to Serra do Mar.
